at the Inauguration of the Haryana Chapter of the Indian Student Parliament on 17th March 2012

Youth force

Scientific research validates the responsible role of electromagnetic, gravitational and even mega level cosmic forces, in the activation and sustenance of the planetary structures, including life elements in them. However, the active globe, with ongoing vibrant social progress is directed by a second force phenomenon, known as ‘youth force’. All levels of aspiration, initiation, performance, attainment and transfer of reward and responsibility are governed only by this force.

Youth force is the manifestation of complete resource package of a personality, which volunteers to amalgamate with fraternal agents to create a potent collective consensus and action. The prime elements of Youth include unfading zeal, untiring service and uncompromising spirit and factors like age, appearance and other apparent attachments deserve less or no attention.

Just as the flow of electrons produce electricity, this youth energy is enacted by the ceaseless flow of "youthons" and similar to measurement of physical forces, 'youthometer' accredits and evaluates youth potential, considering one's ability to withstand and succeed amidst competitions, challenges, crisis and crucial circumstances, using the tools of brilliance and valour.
Modern youth potential is disfigured and caged and we could conspicuously notice the ugly elements of insecure liberty and joy making, inertia, non-constructive and destructive engagement, in the youth community. Hence there is the need of a solid and systematic approach to harness, organize and direct, positive youth potential and to prevent youth disasters of all forms. Youth should be provided the ingredients of seriousness, commitment and empowerment, through a target direction schedule (TDS).

Youth Assembly Model

Service, reconstruction and renaissance are all expensive ventures that include heavy struggle and sacrifice. They are considered by the coward and evasive society as compromisers of pleasure and progress, and stupid invitation for self-deterioration and destruction.

This situation has resulted in the genesis of three social varieties; those who are simple, separate and self-centric; those who make profit and benefit out of social crisis, with the masquerade of charity, upliftment and development; those who are born with the spirit to rescue the society and ready for suffering and sacrifice. Social engineering is the process of tapping the vigour of the third variety, training the first and transforming or terminating the middle.
If everybody 'completely' sacrifices himself, there won't be any beneficiary left and in the same way, if everybody expects the other to sacrifice for him, revolution will be just an air castle and day dream. Hence there is a need of an assembly model, where dedication and reasonable sacrifice quotient should be developed in every member in divisions, with ascending grades.

‘General mass’, who work for the nation and society as a part and product of their personal growth, will form the bottom of the renaissance pyramid. Guides for planning and action, who form the next level, will contribute half of their time, energy and risking resources. ‘Directors’ motivate and organize all others having the prime agenda of public life with a marginal personal life involvement. These three levels are inspired and engineered by a limited group of members at the top, blended with high level commitment and sacrifice. Our job is to qualify everybody at least to be a part of basic service and manure and monitor progress in their ‘service quotient’.
‘Youth assembly’ should not be always misconceived as congregation of youngsters, as youth has been already well defined. Moreover, youth potential is bi-fold; cognitive and active. ‘Cognitive ability’ is assembly of prudence, action designing, scrutiny, perseverance, steadfastness and integrity that is possible only by education, exposure and seasoned experience, and traceable only in seniors. ‘Active potential’ involves the principles of rational understanding, spirit, surrender and dynamism.

Youth energy, parallel to physical growth, evolves into action, then into action with maturity and culminates into high level maturity, which permeates and activates masses. There should be a symbiotic inter-action between the maturity factor of the seniors and functional zeal of active members. This bi-generational exchange and synergy of wisdom and energy, revives and regulates social harmony and development.

Youth and Politics

Youth power in its micro level is applied for self-empowerment and limited service. Its macro level charge is indispensable for political reforms and national reconstruction that which facilitates rapid, proper and sustainable growth of every citizen of the nation. There is no youth deficit in active politics as we are seeing lots of youth in political stages, campaigns and protests. Also most of the today's senior politicians commenced their political voyage, while they were young.

The problems are with the intention of the seasoned politicians to remain as ever youthful grooms to their thrones and in case of demand of real youth, their application of dynastic selection policy. The political youth community either loves to merge or merges with the main stream political art of ‘power and money making’ or miserably serves as exploitation resorts for vote traders.
It is to be noted that both these senior and youth community have failed in bringing and establishing "youth" in their governance. ‘Youth in rule’ is indicated by security, prosperity and harmony factors and what we emphasize as youth politics should be this and this only, irrespective of the names, forms, parties and persons of government.

What is the merit in rule of youth, where the governance is old, fragile, sick and wicked? What is the specialty in youth rule; if they are just new containers of old venom and warehouses of collective and competitive malice that they inherit form their unscrupulous predecessors?

Democracy - A brief study

Democracy is also one more mockery which suits to the names of 'demoncracy' and 'democrazy', as per its nature and functioning. Democracy is a smart trade of power where misleaders can purchase any amount of silence, separation and support in the brand image of leaders. In spite of projection of "for the people" banner, we could easily trace elements of kleptocracy, tyranny, monarchy and other ill forms, in silent, sub and obvious streams. Politicians stage ‘unruly sovereignty’ in the disguise of democracy, where they handle all sorts of disputes, debates and disorders by plain tactics of ‘diversion of issues’, undue appeasement and organized vendetta.

In many countries, replaced democracy in lieu of dictatorship and monarchy has constituted only weak and equally wicked governments and their rate of democratic understanding and accession is also found to be dead slow. While considering the "Arab spring" emerging in Libya, Tunisia, Syria, Yemen and Egypt, we should also ponder upon the lacking of democratic strength and salubrity, in liberated or democratic countries like Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. This proves that a constant, ever growing and concrete social vigilance and action can only be the elixir for democracy's 'youth'.

So, political reforms do not necessitate replacement of policies, persons and parties. It needs the muscular integrity of the subjects to see that the government functions in the way it should and we want.  Any person, party and policy amidst callous and submissive surroundings will be tempted towards materialization of fertile opportunities to err, evade, exploit, embezzle, escape and ever-exist.

Social negligence - An analysis

We should aim at supplying quantitative and qualitative strength to our system. This should commence with bringing awareness and participation. An "Active and Effective Political Participation program" should be made available for inculcation and implementation. On all circumstances of citizen's duties of design, decision and demand, apart from those who have accustomed and merged with the art of survival, we see only silence and distance of common public. This negligence rate is more voluminous in educated and elite members. It is this disregard of many forms that has installed the ‘survival of the fittest’ rule in the society, allowing disruptive elements to flourish and settle in safer zones, immune to question, criticism, transformation, prosecution and punishment. The causes for this socio-responsive isolation are:
Ignorance and negligence about their responsibility, social scenario and vulnerability
Negligible vulnerability or enduring ability or settled life
Fear of suppression, revenge and collapse
Disbelief because of personal shortcomings,  vigour of opponents  and incorrigibility of system
Direction blindness and support handicapped

Impact studies

We are sure that we are either unaware or not well informed about the price of our negligence and subservience. Every bit of wrong selection and lack of concern and correction, will bring
Insecure survival
Developmental deficit
Imminent Peril
Harm to our rights and rewards and will slowly finish us like slow poison
Any time attack on any division of our existence
Affect our successors- ‘generation clutch’
Neighbourhood infection from individuals or nations that will surely affect us

Action Plan

All success making teams are animated by qualities like spirit, courage and sacrifice which are 'qualifiers', along with 'facilitators' such as knowledge, distribution techniques, resources and management skills. Unfortunately present community is blessed with either total absence or unilateral presence of these ingredients. This discrepancy has decelerated and disabled social development.

Great social changes have been staged by a ‘two way evolution’ method. In one way, leaders vivify and inspire number of delegates and followers, who in turn allure and augment their respondents. The second way is by churning of social consensus by integrated simple civilians which in turn causes the emergence of representatives, activists and great leaders. There should be a bivalent approach of bringing both the sources into unison and action.

The knowledge and execution part of out-comings of gatherings and conferences should be respectively processed as ‘institutions’ for academic shaping and movements for goal setting and acquisition. Hence we have to design a concise and precise self-empowerment based study of political action and have to make its basics mandatory for all civilians and descriptive studies, available for all aspirants and aimers. This pedagogy, unlike other conventional methods of teaching languages, logics, mathematics and history, should spring from exemplary patriots and social animators who can initiate the spark and self-propulsion mechanism of every associate and can transform modern generation into real, right and responsible youth.

Message

It is a great blessing that this youth parliament of Haryana is inaugurated in Kurukshetra. Just as every energy conservator would prefer to harness rich hydral power, on seeing a river with turbulent flow, every positivity-monger should strive to harness and apply the infinite positive potential of Kurukshetra that remains unnoticed and less used.

Krishna and Arjuna make a perfect pair; radiant guide or director and resourceful and submissive executive - the champions of infallible success. This idealistic pair should be reinstated in the place of the uncongenial Krishna-Kamsa or Arjuna-Karna rivalry rising in the society.

I am very happy to see the jubilance and hilarity in these young brothers before me. But as a philosopher, I am forced to talk about the serious role and duty of youth life that shall make their joy prestigious and perennial. It may be hard to believe that your beloved joy, if at all it is genuine, is a cocktail of persistence, perseverance and pain.

I wish that the ovations you bombard here for others should be received by you from the society, for your merits. We should invert our laughter upon our lethargy, loneliness and undue lenience, so that nobody else laughs at our failure, later. Great achievers and associates of transformation have only one joy for them; to be joyous on being serious, sincere, serving and successful and I crave for the same from all of you.

I earnestly hope to see all of you in our next meeting at the earliest, packed with more attention and ‘preparedness for action and accomplishment’.
