Youth parliament - 1
Every nation is gifted with great thinkers, strategists, energetic activists and active patriots. Unfortunately, they are devoid of integral strength and are not sturdy enough to influence policy makers and power chambers. Being isolated from the common mass, they are disabled from gaining mass admiration and followership, which is main source of policy deal and power gain in democracy.
Even though the nation is ruled by veteran politicians, guided by intellectual giants and experts, we could notice heavy stagnation, deficit and chaos of different forms, as results of mismanagement, abuse and corruption. This is due to unilateral and immature political decisions, neglect of expertise and guidance and, lack of proficiency, resources and planning.
Hence, elite, capable and responsible members of the society should be given opportunities to raise and register their voices on social issues and solutions and, progressive design planning. Especially, youth community, architects of future, should be provided proper space, ability and chances to guard, mould and build the society. They need a direction and target based drive, and should be liberated from prosaic knowledge, imbalance and eccentrism that are entertained as a part of youth, being misconceived as erudition and dynamism.
‘Citizens Forum for Vigilance and Good governance’ (CIFOVIG), with the prime vision of harnessing and channelizing latent and live youth potential for national welfare, has initiated a wider, sensitive and productive national level program by name ‘Youth Parliament’, for qualifying ‘youth for parliament’ as participants, transformers, regulators and watchdogs, through proper inputs and training, before their social exposure.
Parliament program
‘Youth Parliament’ is a pulsating discussion forum comprising of three groups of representatives. Student community, student leaders and young professionals form the first group. Second group consists of senior think-tanks, academicians, diplomats and stalwarts. Third group is the vibrant galaxy of leaders and international participants.
