Akshaya Tritiya

Akshaya Tritiya

Akshaya force

Every man is working hard for his survival, sustenance and progress. Having observed and experienced the unpredictable and uncertain nature of wealth, health, lifespan and other circumstances, he resorts to many hard, smart, crooked and noble schemes to acquire, safeguard and augment his resources.

As wealth is found to be vulnerable to stagnation, depletion, loss and ruin, he strongly believes that growth and safety of wealth need gapless attention, vigilance and action. This accomplishment is designated by our tradition as “Akshaya Siddhi – progressive perennial wealth flow” (PPWF). The only difference between traditional and mo
dern perceptions is modernists or materialists opine that this is obtainable only or prominently through labor, intelligence, tactics and exploitation (LITE) whereas spiritualists realize the dominant intervention of a second agent known as Akshaya Sakthi – an unseen force dependent or independent of first agents (LITE).

As this force fructifies our labor and intelligence, all human trials need this special support without which, they will be suppressed, unrewarded, compromised and will turn even adverse. Any gain through tactics and exploitation is provided only by fiendish (Asuric) forces, which appear in the disguise of Akshaya force.

Sources for Akshaya force

Akshaya Sakthi can be generated, induced and intensified by prayer, worship, rituals, charity and wishes and blessings of noble and venerable souls. Benevolent thoughts, words and deeds also bring Akshaya Sakthi. We have seen successful money makers in betel nuts, food products, hotels and other simple business and also losers in diamond, gold and hi-tech trades. Hence Akshaya Sakthi is prevalent in all elements and manifests while applied in the right way by the right person at the right time.

Durakshaya-Misfortune

We witness the same ever growing and perennial condition in negative issues like loans, diseases, litigations and conflicts. As the condition satisfies the definition of Akshaya, it cannot be branded as the same, for Akshaya is innately Shubhada - beneficial, blissful and auspicious. That contrary version is known as Durbhiksha and Durakshaya – tenacious misfortune.

It may be surprising to know that this misfortune may appear even in the form of fortune. While granting huge benefits, many equal and vital life components will be diluted or destroyed in this dual deal. We have seen many families with professional success, social repute and affluent wealth who are deprived of significant needs like health, peace, family, issues and spiritual living. This is because of heavy inflammation or obesity in selected dimensions that are mistaken for super-abundance.

‘Akshaya’ is misconceived and mispropagated as something confined to wealth that too particularly cornered to gold. But it is an all encompassed complete force that makes a man to live a fruitful life and lead others. It works out with the person’s birth account and present measures, and organizes best balanced equilibrium of life essentials without any omission and overload.

Akshaya not only brings the reward but also nourishes and empowers the recipient. What is the use of rewards in Akshaya mode for a receiver ruled by Kshaya (decay) force?

‘Akshaya’ distribution

Based on previous deeds and performances of the beneficiaries, Akshaya force may differ in grades and degrees. Negligible proportion of Akshaya force provides sufficiency and considerable quantum offers prolonged enjoyment of resources. A full-fledged Akshaya force may be possible only for the realized and relieved. Anyhow, the role of Akshaya force of any volume in influencing lives with betterment, is undeniable.

Space and Time favour-Kshetras and Muhurtas

Technology minimizes time, risk and cost constraints and maximizes quality and efficiency. Religious technology in the form of different methods of worship also provides the same through two major forces. One is space and second is time which are termed as Kshetras and Muhurtas-auspicious abodes and time. Unfortunately such Kshetras and Muhurtas are either neglected or belittled by prosaic participation. Positive centres naturally have enhanced spiritual gravity that is boosted by belief, practices and maintenance. Likewise confluence of different time structures generates positive vibrancy which increases the ability and success rates of righteous performers.

Even though Kshetras are demarcated in selected zones and Muhurtas remain on specific occasions, by their power of pervasion-Vyapti, they act as drivers. The force (initial push) kindled by them will continue to flow in all places and on all occasions. In case of greater fortune, they take the lead and all other efforts become minor or additional forces. In case of paucity of luck or grace, they serve as supporting agents to our endeavours and eligibilities.

Akshaya Muhurtas and Akshaya forms

The much popularized Akshaya Tritiya is considered as the Jayanthi day of Parusurama, inaugural day of Mahabharata composition, day when Yudhistra received the Akshaya Patra and also as the day when Ganges descended from heaven. The day is even believed as the beginning of Treta Yuga, powerful day for performing rites to our ancestors and primogenitors and the most suitable day for plantation of trees, cultivation and worship of earth, soil and other forms of nature.

But all these beliefs and practices need strong proofs. In the process of adoration, several episodes have been annexed to the day’s glory. But Akshaya Tritiya muhurtam cannot be considered fictional or simple. At the same time, there are several established muhurtams, known and unknown that have equal and even greater enormous Akshaya potential, like Meena Uthara Palguni (Panguni Uthiram), Lakshmi Pooja at the time of Deepavali, Amruta lakshmi Vratam and many more. A recent culture of celebrating Rambha Tritiya in the third day of bright half (Shukla Paksha) of Jyeshta (Aani) month has emerged along with Akshaya Tritiya, third day of Vaishaka Shukla Paksha.

Actually, Akshaya refers to Sriman Narayana, abode of all auspicious attributes and totally free from any blemish. All other forms, abodes and time gain their auspiciousness only by an infinitesimal fraction of His immeasurable grace. Whenever we think and worship him, the Muhurta becomes Akshaya Muhurta. Hence anyone, persistently meditating on Him can relish Nityakshaya Muhurta-an eternal grace flow.
We always account material forms like gold, silver, house, vehicle and currency in Akshaya. Akshaya concept has one more special dimension ‘Vishishtakshaya Shakti’ that denotes subtle wealth forms such as wisdom, power, nobility and endurance. Similarly Akshaya force also initiates, renews and reinforces rich relations-Bandhu Sampathi.

Let this be an opportunity to think, touch and thank our parents, spouse and off-springs, Gurus, friends and well wishers.

Akshaya Tritiya duties

Akshaya Tritiya is being projected as a fortune maker only through purchase of gold or ornaments. This sensation is spread by marketing tactics of jewelers fuelled by astrologers and pundits. Even though this cannot be totally refuted, this is not also the only way or best way of celebrating the day.

There is no standard quantity meant for offering, wearing, charity, purchase and other activities. Offering and charity should be reasonable and submitted with infinite zeal and sincerity. Regarding wearing, purchase and other personal tasks, more than their volume, their inner force should be invigorated. There may be a single gram of gold with 10x of Akshaya grace and also a kilogram of gold with 0 or 1x. Purchase and craze have now taken charge of the event and power factor is ignored.

Samarpana

Grains invested in our belly will never grow. Similarly our usage and possession of gold can never grow without grace. Our gold will be justified and qualified only by offering a portion and submitting the same before usage, to ‘Sri Natha’. Either in our home or temples, we can offer our mite on this auspicious day to Him and make the day wonderful. Even that which is meant for charity, utility, deposit, savings, investment and purchase should all be submitted and taken back.

Dharana

After submitting our humble offering to Divine self, as his Prasad, we can wear new jewels on the day. Even existing jewels, after proper wash or polish can be submitted and worn. Such ornaments can be converted into investment or any other purchase, on needed occasions and its Akshaya quality will permeate into those forms. It should be understood that the modern custom of loading one’s body and lockers with gold more than one’s need and deservingness, invites sin and peril as well as induces crime, unruly gold demand and social misguidance.

Daana

It is very hard to make the greedy, selfish and stingy society to believe that charity is equally or even more beneficial than investment, enjoyment and offerings. Actually charity of any form is the prime duty or observation on Akshaya Tritiya as per tradition by which the pious believed that their wealth will become pure and plenteous. Offering simple golden mangalyams for the needy and noble will be one among the best charities suitable for the occasion.

Viniyoga

Sharing food, clothes, worship and celebrations with all of our associates, well wishers and relatives enhances our joy and well-being. This makes the event socio-centric and verily spiritual, contrary to ongoing gold pur’chase’ ritual.

Nikshepa

Stagnation is a blemish for wealth. But we have a traditional practice of keeping idle wealth preserved with a strong sentimental belief that its force makes us to gain more and more. This unused and unspent wealth can be preserved for worship in case it is limited and properly tuned with divine immanence.

Shubharambha

New academic and business ventures can be conceived, drafted, designed, documented or commenced in divine ambience. All family ventures like marriage and house construction can also be initiated even though they cannot be conducted on the day.

Shubha Kraya

Apart from purchase of gold and ornaments, purchase of gems and silver as material or ornaments as well as in the forms of pooja utensils and utility utensils, are also beneficial. Purchase of clothes, vehicles and any commodity on this day is auspicious. Even a small token for purchase in future will be equally effective. We can even purchase gold and sell the same the next day for purchasing any other products. Anything purchased and used will grant extended benefits-EB-Ateeta Yoga. Normal benefits-NB are termed as Anga Yoga.

Sri Swarnam

Wealth is the visible grace of Lakshmi or Sri. Especially gold and silver are specifically graced by Sri. The name of Sri as ‘Suvarna Rajatasrajaa’ in the Vedic hymn endorses the same. But that Tatva and Shakti are in the subtlest stage and also are kinetic.

We find no physical difference between the gold owned by poor and rich as well as worthy and unworthy. Households own more volume and designs of gold and ornaments than reserve banks and temples. We see the same gold of different grades used in machine parts, medicine, personal gadgets like watches and spectacle frames. It is even heard that super affluent sultans and plutocrats have their furniture, dress and even their wash rooms made of gold. But they should never be mistaken for Mahalakshmi or Shri. Students just read books but gain wisdom whereas cattle consume the papers and get nothing. Worshippers of Lakshmi are blessed with sublime wealth whereas these carry bags are just show pieces and get nothing in long run and comprehensive view.

The latent Lakshmi in all common forms of gold should be understood by ‘Moola Sannidhiya principle’ that states about the unmanifested secondary presence of ‘Shri’. Manifested divinity or Vyakta Sannidhyam is available when the same gold associates with proper person and purpose (asraya and prayojana vis’esha). That gold is called as ‘Sri Swarna’ or auspicious gold and others as ‘Lohaswarna’ or metallic gold.

To install Sri Swarna by which Shri shall permeate every part of our personality and possessions, we can store and worship (bimba) forms of Lakshmi and Vishnu made in gold. Light weight forms can be architected with structural precision-Shuddhi or Lakshana Poorthy. Varaha, Narasimha, Hayagriva, Sudarshana, Garuda and other such forms can also be worshipped. Common devotees can use secondary forms of Shri such as Kumbha (sacred pot), Kalpa Vruksha (wish tree), Kamadhenu (wish cow), Chintamani (wish gem), Deepa (sacred lamp), horse and elephant. In the next platform, they also have the option of embossing other deities and elements in gold for worship, as per their practice and preference.
Not only gold but any product offered to the divine self and distributed to the needy self, shall become ‘Sri Swarna’, which is greater than any valuable on earth.

Swarna Sakthi-Curse and boon (Saapa and Varam)

Gold is both meritorious and notorious for being a divine angel as well as a shining devil respectively. Gold is not only a form of wealth reserve and decoration or status element but it has the power to induce energy, youth, longevity, health and radiance (Urjas, Youvana, Ayu: Arogatha, Tejas). It attracts fortune and injects positivity. Its divine resplendence is obvious in its name ‘aura’ntinum itself.

Gold is also the root cause of wars, crime and social struggles. Even religious reformers and socialists argue that this gold has made temples, susceptible centres for invasions, corruption and commercialization. By abolishing richness in temples or abolishing gold itself, we cannot ensure peace and progress in the society as the same ill-effects occur even in energy, coal, fossil fuels, minerals, water and other forms of natural wealth, that are indispensable for our existence.

Sastras indicate that all positive and productive forms have equally opposite and problematic reflections. When rewards are irreplaceable by any alternative and more than the risks, it is the duty of us to take the strain and pain of risk management. Gold is the representative head of all resources and its offering to God, the provider of all resources is a must and a sublime method of recognizing his authority and evincing our gratitude. His devotees show their love and concern in embellishing Him with the best.

Anything offered to the Universal self wards off the evil and paucity of that commodity available on the planet. This divine stock also activates our concern for Him by intense measures of care, vigilance and security which we render to our safety lockers, banks and government treasuries. Renunciation and limited usage are not complete solutions. Apart from reasonable offering, savings and possession, remaining huge volume of dormant and dark gold should be brought out and contributed for solid projects like infrastructure, education and health development services of needy districts of our state and needy states of our nation as well as for needy nations.

Impact and benefit enrichment is the motto of ‘Shri’ philosophy rather than commodity specifications, market value, stock volumes and pride. I hope that this message and voyage shall reconfigure the pattern and practice of Akshaya Tritiya thereby making its epithet ‘Akshaya’ fully meaningful.
