Planned Programme at Hindu Mission Hospital Sep 2012

Planned Programme at Hindu Mission Hospital Sep 2012

Contrary to the earlier era, where we neglected and almost lost precious components of life such as peace, love and health, for the sake of wealth and power after the advent of science, technology and political systems, now there is a small spark of upcoming awareness, concern and realization about regaining the things lost by applying, minimizing and even losing the gained ones.

Health view in Indian thought system is holistic. It is the complete ability of a person to be sturdy, active and productive in a wider sense. We see an intentional neglect and indigestible compromise of basic health principles such as good food and food habits, sleep, rest, qualified work, sharing and service, prayer and positive thinking.

Innovations in drugs and devices as well as revelations in emerging medical research are nothing but census record of innumerable, undetectable and incurable disease patterns.  Medical expenditure and exploitations have re-endorsed ‘survival of rich and royal’ concept. Lack of accessibility to medical facilities is a curse for rural and tribal brethren apart from their paucity factor.

Plenty of government schemes and charitable organization programs offer free and concessional testing and treatment facilities with even ‘hospital on wheels’ services. But their social reach is very marginal as the demand is more and mostly ‘health awareness and service schemes’ never get effective public attention and attraction. To create a livable and healthy planet should be our immediate goal and this journey should begin from ‘Swasta Bharat’

As a simple and sincere task to promote holistic health awareness, Sri Ramanuja Mission Trust (for further details, visit us atwww.sriramanujamissiontrust.info  ) is organizing a brainstorming session on ‘Holistic Health-Awareness and Action’ on August 25th from 5 pm-9 pm at
