Workshop for “Youth Initiative and Empowerment”

Workshop for “Youth Initiative and Empowerment”

“Twenty-first Century will be India’s, when leaders, scholars, businessmen and professionals from all over the world would come to India seeking solutions to solve the various problems afflicting mankind”; so said Swami Vivekananda in the US in 1895.  In order to equip the youth and citizens with the necessary knowledge and skills to form a unique Bharat, it is proposed to conduct an Intensive 4-day Personality Development Programme for the aspirant citizens.
The PDP is a joint venture of FOSAPH (Forum Of Scientist Aiming at Peace and Harmony) - a unit of Sri Ramanuja Mission Trust, Vande Mataram Movement, Pragna Bharati, The Indian Heritage Academy (IHA) and India Watch Group. It is proposed to organize this camp at a holy place of historical and spiritual importance, which has an enchanting scenic beauty and invigorating environmental ambience. Participants should have sincere interest to develop competence, character and commitment to take our country forward materially and spiritually, imbibe sensitiveness to the Environment and Ecology, lead an ethical and moral life of selfless service and campaigning for preserving and promoting unity and culture of our nation.
Main objective of PDP is rejuvenation, revitalization and re-engineering. PDP would encompass principles of education, ethics, energy and effort for effective and efficient execution of projects, empowerment from scientific knowledge and spiritual concepts, enlightenment and enrichment from ancient wisdom, etc. The impulse for conducting this camp comes from the need to make our citizens aware of the unique qualities of our country and its promising position today.  Owing to our highly gifted and patient population, the power of our youth who form the major part of it, our unbroken cultural heritage, our composite society, technical prowess and abundant natural resources, India is poised to take a leading position in the world today!
The programme would start from early morning hours with prayer, yoga, meditation and exercise.  Four sessions will be held during the day, of 90 minutes each, with evening lectures followed by cultural entertainment. Sufficient time will be provided for personal discussion.
