Indian Institute of Social Responsibility- IISR

Indian Institute of Social Responsibility- IISR

Vital character that endorses one’s civilian and civilized nature is his social responsibility. Society which is shuffling between the holds of selfish reserved communities and forceful exploiters, has hope for rescue and solace, only in its responsible members.
Society has just created two ways for driving the mood and mind set up of its subjects, towards inhibition and prohibition. One is a pro-purchase method like  advertisements, incentive, gift and  free offers. Second is a rigid tool of law, order and justice, which punishes the violators. Responsibility has been considered as a person’s choice or as an instinct of automatic or eco-matic acquisition. Neither responsibility is promulgated or marketable by techniques nor they ‘are and  can be’ enacted and enforced.  Hence proper and powerful inculcation system is needed for installing ‘social responsibility’  as foundation and purpose of knowledge, wealth, power and social existence.
Social responsibility is a duty  and response of gratitude for our living, social identity and resources received. It is a commitment for national growth or even global concern. It is an extremely noble virtue in spiritual angle. Even for the selfish, this responsibility only can create the force to demand their rights, recover their rewards and engineer the ecology, in which they can survive and flourish.  It goes without saying that social irresponsibility is root cause of all social problems.

Grades and forms of Social responsibility

Its primary level is realization that every individual is a part of composite society and is inescapably infected and benefited by its ills and health. This also includes understanding of individual influence on the society. Second level is knowing social happenings with their causes and immediate and futuristic impact on proximate and distant spheres.
This foundation further expands as trials to prevent problems, design solutions, organize the society, resource development and sharing, empowerment and culminates in restructuring the society. The supreme responsibility factor is to monitor and motivate the responsibility of others. It is an uglier indecency to avoid participation in public issues than undue intrusion in private issues.
Even though absolute responsibility cannot be exercised by everybody, the art of evincing ‘collective interest and action’ should be cultivated in all citizens. An educated person should evince this attribute more than a simple man and corporate person in greater quantum than a struggling worker. Similarly teachers, government servants of different divisions and levels, and leaders have immense responsibility to execute. Hence one’s responsibility level is expected as per the volume of his knowledge, resources, authority and commitment. In other words, more the person is informed, resourceful, authorized and committed, more his contribution should be.
As responsibilities are well known to any civilized person, mere enlistment and advices will cause only aversion and boredom. It needs a different and powerful presentation model, distinguishable from conventional academics with special instructors and live projects
